New York parents cannot get back to work without child care. Yet, New York’s Child Care providers are struggling to keep their doors open at a time when child care is needed more than ever. New York State has not made the investment to pay early childhood educators a living wage and build a system for quality care for all New York’s children. Policymakers in Albany are negotiating the state budget now and it is crucial that they invest in child care this year.
We need YOU to take action NOW so that policymakers in Albany know how important child care is. Send a letter to your State Legislators and the leaders of the State Legislature demanding that they adopt the plan developed by child care providers and parents in the final New York State budget. Together, we can Save New York Child Care, and put New York on the path to providing child care for all New York families that need it.
